Sorry for the wait.....

Been a stressful time with exams and uni, but all is finished now you will be glad to know. What got me through the exam period.....the new mixtape by the Nextmen entitled 'A Child's Introduction to Jazz'. (Which you can now buy from HMV or alternativlely google is your friend)

Doesn't contain that much Jazz (referring to the musical interludes between tracks) just the usual smutterings of current and old hip-hop, funk, soul, rock and anything inbetween blended and mixed by the Nextmen. Great summer soundtrack.

Turning to folk which i admite I have been neglecting recently mainly because I haven't come across anything that has stood out for me recently, however only just recently heard Jim Moray's self entitled follow up to 'Sweet England'. It's simply a progression from his debut and the good thing about this album is that he doesn't piegeon hole himself as a 'folk' artist and continues to push the boundaries. Stand out tracks are 'My Sweet Rose' and 'Who's The Fool' however the album is one which can be listened to without having to use the skip track button on your player.

Looking forward to Krafty Kuts new album freakshow, scheduled for release in September. His new single Bass Phenomenon has been getting hammered in clubs all over the place, having listened to the previews on his website its looking like its going to be one of the albums of the year....for me anyway.

Thats it for now....more later on Stanton Warriors, Zero 7 and my cousins new hip hop production.....
